Design Win Reinforces Microtune's Strategy of Providing

High-Performance RF Solutions for Next-Generation TV Markets

Microtune(R), Inc. (Pink Sheets:TUNE) today announced that its MicroTuner(TM) MT2040 silicon tuner is deployed in a 42" widescreen Plasma TV of Tatung Company (Taipei, Taiwan). The Tatung TV, which is HDTV compatible, is in production now and available at retail outlets in the U.S.

Microtune provides the high-performance radio frequency (RF) tuner-receiver core for the Tatung flat-panel platform, enabling the TV to deliver exceptional picture and sound quality.
