Samsung donates 100 TV sets to 2 hotels in N. Korea South Korea's Samsung Electronics Co. said Friday it has donated 100 television sets to North Korea to be installed in two hotels in Pyongyang around next Saturday.
Under an agreement reached with North Korea's Asia-Pacific Peace Committee, Samsung will install 90 29-inch and 10 52-inch TV sets in the Koryo and Yanggakdo hotels, the company said in a statement.
Samsung's TV sets will be branded "ATEA-SAMSUNG," which stands for the North Korean committee handling inter-Korean business projects and the South Korean company.
Samsung will dispatch six technicians and officials to Pyongyang around next Saturday to install the television sets.
