PAKISTAN'S first cricket tour of India for six years will go ahead after a court ruling in favour of live coverage of matches despite a continuing legal battle over TV rights.

If the dispute between the Indian Cricket Board and media firm Zee Telefilms Ltd had not been resolved, the tour would have been cancelled because television coverage is essential under International Cricket Council rules.

Pakistan will now arrive in India on Monday for three Tests and six one-day internationals. The First Test starts in Mohali on 8 March but the tour is already three days behind schedule.
