Hitachi America today debuts its 2005 line of HDTVs. The newest offerings include the HDX62, HDT52, and Ultra HDS52 series of plasma displays. The UltraVision HDS52 Plasma HDTV Series features the VirtualHD 1080p II digital video processor, which, Hi-tachi promises, will deliver a sharp, smooth and seamless image, and Learning AV NET IV interface, which uses on-screen software keys to control up to four external components (like DVD players and VCRs) with one interface.

The UltraVision CineForm HDT52 Plasma HDTV Series includes the same features as that of the HDS52 series, but adds several enhancements, such as the TV Guide On Screen electronic programming guide, as well as DV and IEEE1394 interfaces with full AV con-trol, which Hitachi states will make recording to hard disk drives convenient and easy.

The UltraVision CineForm Director's Series HDX62 Plasma HDTV Series is Hitachi's top-of-the-line plasma displays. It shares the same features as the HDS52 and HDT52 se-ries, and also includes an adjustable Color Decoder, Custom Color Temperature, and en-hanced Digital Color Management III system.

The displays will be rolled out beginning in June and continuing on until October of this year.
