Kodak has announced the release of its DCS Pro SLR/c, a 14-megapixel digital camera with a full-size CMOS sensor. The "c" in SLR/c stands for Canon, as the camera accepts Canon EOS lenses (the recently announced SLR/n accepts Nikon F-mount lenses). Users can select image size by shooting files at 14, 6, 3 and 0.8 megapixels. The camera operates from 160 to 1,600 ISO at 1/3-stop increments and at a range of 6 to 50 in longer exposure mode in full increments, enabling exposures as long as 30 seconds via infrared control. Shutter speed ranges from 1/6,000 of a second to 30 seconds. The camera can shoot in RAW, JPEG and ERI-JPEG modes,. ERI-JPEGS are handy when reshooting is inconvenient, as they provide two stops of exposure latitude and extended color space. In burst mode, the SLR/c can shoot at 1.7 fps and capture as many as 19 full-resolution RAW images. The camera has a flash sync of 1/180 second with a focal plane flash to up to 1/6,000 second with an EX series Speedlight. The camera has slots for CF and SD/MMC cards, which can be written to simultaneously. It also has Firewire connectivity.
