Latest Technology Will Be Displayed at the National Technical Training Symposium of the Vibration InstituteThe Vibration Institute's National Technical Training Symposium - 29th Annual Meeting - will take place June 13-17, at the Omni Richmond hotel, Richmond, VA. The symposium will feature "How Do You Do That?" sessions on proper ways to acquire data to optimize results, descriptions of new analytical techniques and the use of virtual instruments. Explanations of the working mechanisms of machines and methods for fixing malfunctioning machines will be presented in extended sessions.

The VibroMet 500 is optimized for distances from one cm to five m - there is no need to adjust a focusing lens which makes the VibroMet 500 easy to use and ensures quick and extremely accurate vibration measurement. National Instruments will be showing the USB-9233, a 4 channel, simultaneous input, 24-bit dynamic signal acquisition device. It offers 50 kS/s sampling rate with IEPE, AC-coupling, built-in anti-aliasing, and BNC connections. It is a plug and play device with high-speed USB 2.0. The cRIO-4408 with 8 simultaneous, 24-bit analog inputs at up to 33.3 kS/s will also be featured. The cRIO-4408 communicates with a PC through standard 10/100 Mb/s Ethernet. RS #161
SDT North America will perform live demonstrations of its Ultrawave 170MD Ultrasonic Data Collector. Demos will include applications for acoustic lubrication of roller bearings, condition monitoring of bearings, trouble shooting mechanical problems, and analyzing ultrasonic time wave form and spectrums.
