The New England Camera Club Council Conference this year is being held on July 13, 14, & 15, 2001 and promises to be one not to miss. We have gone far and wide to bring in the best of the best. Our Saturday night speaker hails from Seattle. Art Wolfe is giving his nature spectacular "The Living Wild" at the Fine Arts Center. From sunny Florida we will have Joseph J. Zaia with his program "The Wonder of Color." This describes the nature of light as it relates to the three colors: red, green, and blue. California sends us two speakers: Lloyd Bever will entertain us with a showcase on "Unique Madagascar," and Norma Mastin will show us New Zealand from a naturalist's point of view. Kodak will sponsor Paul Yarrows and Neil Montanus with their program, "Focusing On People." They come to us from our New York neighbors.
Fuji is sponsoring Bill Silliker, Jr. from Maine. Bill's program "Just Eagles" will help us nature enthusiasts capture that elusive eagle on film. Gary W. Stanley, also from Maine, will present a program called "Postcard and Calendar Market" for those of us wishing to sell our photos.
The Minnards from Michigan will be giving us a hands-on workshop, "Creating Your Own Backdrop" where they will show us a simple and inexpensive way to accomplish this using readily available materials.
Our registration form will be online and available by mail in early April. For the latest conference information, log on to www.neccc.org where you can download a registration form. You may also write to NECCC at P.O. Box 2541, Springfield, MA 01101 and request a registration form.
