It is the first in Canon's A series to use SD media (16MB card included), and unlike its fixed-lens predecessor the A310, the A400 has a 2.2X optical zoom lens. The camera also offers scene modes like Portrait and Night Scene, comes with two double-A alkaline batteries, and is available in four colors: Silver, Sky Blue, Lime Green, and Sunset Gold.
